Week ending 3rd March
With the recent upturn in weather the water temperatures have been on the rise, resulting in some great sport for both pleasure and match anglers alike.
The canals have mostly been soft and hard pellet fishing, with some great sport to be had from fishing the margins. Goose has especially been fishing well feeding micros and fishing corn over the top, again down either margin.
Big max has now come into its own with some good sport to be had, on a small method feeder fishing tight to the island.
If it’s the big specimens your looking for, visit west sooty where our resident Cat fish seem to be making an appearance with the largest over the last few weeks weighing just under 28lbs. The carp in this lake also seem to be having a feed.
Preferred bait option on west sooty include pellets and boilies.
